Refined Products.
Petroleum products are marketed under the INERGY brand. With IECL's recent acquisitions, the retail outlet stable of the Company is growing at a fast pace. Currently the Company has 35 outlets strategically located in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Port Harcourt. An ambitious target of 150 retail outlets is planned to be achieved by 2012. Also a new products storage facility with a capacity for 120 metric tonnes of a cocktail of refined products is at an advanced stage of completion.
LPG and Natural Gas
In 2007, IECL launched its LPG business to service both domestic and export markets. The Company is presently seeking to be appointed by the NNPC as one of its off-takers of LPG and Natural gas. Plans are in the pipeline to launch a nation-wide marketing and distribution of LPG through a network of plants recently acquired by the Company.
Lubricants
IECL is focused on producing INERGY branded lubricants that comply with international retail, commercial, industrial and marine specifications. Presently, the Company is involved in the sale of subsea and surface production and drilling fluids. IECL however intends to embark on local production of various grades of these fluids as well as other retail commercial lubricants. Arrangements for partnering with a German manufacturer are progressing.
Pipelines
We have a wide range of capabilities in pipeline transmission and distribution systems that will provide an extensive network for the movement and storage of petroleum products.
Turnkey Projects
We have capacity & capability in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of turnkey petroleum terminals.
Tank storage facilities
We have the capability to develop and operate petroleum storage facilities in Africa, which are fully compliant with accepted international standard.
IECL is currently developing a petroleum products storage facility in the Lagos metropolis in Nigeria. On completion, it will be the largest privately-owned product storage facility in Nigeria.
IECL's downstream strategy is to improve returns and selectively grow with a focus on integrated value creation. Our focus here is to provide reliable and efficient processing plants, transportation systems and distribution channels which provide clean fuels, lubricants and other high-value products to customers around the world.
